A project progress meeting for the Ministry of Science and Technology’s special research programme on space-based gravitational wave detection was held at Tsinghua University on Saturday. The meeting focused on the Grabbing, Positioning and Release Mechanism (GPRM) sub-project, one of the key components of China’s space-based gravitational wave observatory initiative.

Scholars from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, and the National Institute of Metrology, China participated in the discussions. Participants reviewed the recent progress of each research group and exchanged views on key technological challenges and future collaborative plans.
Dr Cai Yingkai from Tsinghua University reported on the latest progress of the Tsinghua research team. The meeting concluded with constructive exchanges among attending experts, marking steady advancement in the development of China’s space-based gravitational wave detection technologies.
