From June 24 to 27, 2024, DSSL Phd student Liu Chunwu and Fang Zhengqing participated in the 1st International Conference on Space Robotics at Neumünster Abbey, Luxembourg, held by the University of Luxembourg.
Fang Zhengqing made a presentation entitled “Space Debris Active Interception Using Spacecraft Swarm Based on Differential Game Theory”. This study is based on his latest research on space debris removal.
Liu Chunwu presented late breaking result entitled “Enhanced Spacecraft Surface Damage Detection Using Generative Adversarial Networks and YOLO Target Recognition”. The poster is based on his latest study on intelligent spacecraft surface damage detection.
Fang Zhengqing and Liu Chunwu also exchanged ideas on their studies with international scholars.

The International Conference on Space Robotics (iSpaRo) is a four-day conference that is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (IEEE Technical Committee on Space Robotics), supported by euRobotics. The conference aims to provide a framework for scientists and industry experts to engage in fruitful discussions and share their insights on the emerging topic of Space Robotics. iSpaRo seeks to fill the gap between established robotics conferences and non-per-reviewed aerospace conferences by allowing the research community and industry professionals to engage in rigorous discussions and share their latest findings in the field. The conference aims to push the boundaries of the field of Space Robotics by exploring new research and development opportunities.
